Important: Discretionary Warranty
RideCover is a discretionary vehicle warranty, not an insurance policy. Claims are assessed on a case-by-case basis and contributions toward repairs are made at our discretion in line with these Terms & Conditions. This product is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the RideCover website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Definitions
- "RideCover" is a trading style of TOPCHEST LIMITED (Company No. 15985513), the provider of vehicle warranty services.
- "Customer" refers to any individual or entity purchasing a warranty plan.
- "Vehicle" refers to the car, van, or motorcycle covered under the warranty.
- "Warranty" refers to the discretionary mechanical and electrical breakdown cover provided.
3. Eligibility
To be eligible for RideCover warranty coverage, your vehicle must:
- Be registered in the United Kingdom
- Be less than 15 years old at the start of the plan
- Have less than 150,000 miles on the odometer
- Have a valid MOT certificate (if applicable)
- Be in good working condition with no pre-existing faults
4. Coverage
Our warranty plans cover mechanical and electrical breakdown of specified components as detailed in your plan documents. Coverage begins after any applicable waiting period and continues for the duration of your plan.
Full coverage details, including what is and is not covered, are provided in your plan documentation which should be read carefully.
5. Claims Process
To make a claim:
- Contact our team at support@ridecover.co.uk before any work is carried out
- Take your vehicle to a VAT-registered garage of your choice
- The garage will diagnose the fault and contact us for authorisation
- Once approved, repairs will be carried out and we will pay the garage directly
Claims made without prior authorisation may not be covered. The maximum claim limit is as specified in your plan.
6. Exclusions
The following are not covered by your warranty:
- Pre-existing faults or damage present before the plan start date
- Routine maintenance items (oil, filters, brake pads, tyres, etc.)
- Damage caused by accidents, misuse, or neglect
- Modifications or non-standard parts
- Cosmetic damage or wear and tear items
- Commercial vehicles used for hire and reward
7. Payment Terms
Warranty plans can be paid monthly or annually. Monthly payments are collected by direct debit. Failure to maintain payments may result in cancellation of your cover.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel your warranty at any time by contacting us. If you cancel within 14 days of purchase, you will receive a full refund minus any claims paid. After 14 days, refunds are calculated on a pro-rata basis.
We may cancel your plan if you fail to make payments, provide false information, or breach these terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability under any warranty claim is limited to the repair or replacement value of the covered component, up to the maximum claim limit specified in your plan. We are not liable for any consequential losses.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
